For Your Information Week of 1/26/2020

  • REMEMBER:   Our time together will start at 10:25 a.m. in order to give us the opportunity to hear about the missions and ministries that are active and the events that are being planned at MGBC.  Our hope is that by 10:30 a.m. we will be prepared for the purpose for which we have gathered; and that is of course to worship God.
  • WEDNESDAY EVENING PROGRAMS:  Join us for all of our Wednesday activities.  Our Family Supper will begin at 5:15.   The menu this week is Barbeque Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese, Cole Slaw, Roll & Dessert.
  • CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS AND ENVELOPES:   Contribution statements and offering envelopes are located on the shelf across from the office.
  • MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY:  Madison Mace, daughter of Jim & Leslie Clay, will be going to Honduras on a medical mission trip from Feb.8th until Feb. 15th.  She and other students in the Allied Health program at CVCC will be providing both medical and dental services to residents of Tela, Honduras.  As a church, we have the opportunity to support Madison by contributing financially to the expenses of this trip which costs $1800 per person.  Please prayerfully consider making a donation to help cover the cost of Madison’s trip.  A love offering will be taken up today for Madison.
  •  STAFF MEETING:  There will be a staff meeting today immediately following the worship service.
  • DEACONS MEETING:  There will be a deacons meeting this evening at 6 p.m.
  • CEMETERY COMMITTEE:  We will have a discussion led by our cemetery committee followed by a brief business meeting in which we will vote on a change in church policy with respect to the usage and cost of our cemetery.  This meeting will be held Wednesday, January 29th at 6:00 p.m.  Your participation and insights are needed and appreciated.
  • MGBC KIDS IN ACTION:  Kids in Action have a warm & Fuzzy Tree located in the hallway behind the sanctuary.  They are collecting hats, gloves, scarves and coats for area school children.  These items can be gently used or new.  You may hang your donations on the tree or place items in the collection box next to the tree or the box in the education building.  We are collecting through Sunday, February 2nd Items will be delivered the following week.  Any questions, please see Judy Hilton
